Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of adherence of diabetes mellitus patients to the use of drugs they consume. The research method that the author uses is a qualitative descriptive method in which the author explains and tells the situation, conditions, and circumstances that exist in the research area. The method of counseling or counseling in this case the author provides assistance to diabetes mellitus patients who are around the Popular Farma pharmacy in Bekasi city, provides information about diabetes mellitus by always obediently taking medication, checking blood sugar levels, healthy lifestyle by eating nutritious food and exercise. regular and interview methods, here the authors collect data as material for scientific papers by conducting direct interviews with the parties concerned, in this case the managers a nd employees of the Popular Farma pharmacy in Bekasi city along with patients who come to the Popular Farma pharmacy in Bekasi city The interview was conducted in order to determine the level of adherence of diabetes mellitus patients to the drugs they consume and to always remind them to be diligent in checking blood sugar levels to keep them stable. Based on the research conducted, it turns out that the level of compliance of diabetes mellitus patients is different, some are very obedient, disobedient, very disobedient/don't care. The advice that the author can give is that we all must be able to maintain a healthy diet, a balanced healthy lifestyle, as well as regular exercise so that we can avoid dangerous diseases including diabetes mellitus.
