Abstract

This study aims to design an IoT-based Smart Office control system using the WhatsApps Application and the ESP8266 WIFI Module. The research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique used is by means of internet searching related to the problem. The problem in the research conducted is regarding the IOT-based smart office prototype using the MQ-2 sensor as a gas detector in the server room, the Fire sensor as a fire detector in the server room, and DHT 11 as a temperature detector in the server room, Solenoid door lock as an automatic lock. door, Buzzer as alarm, Relay as Switch ON or OFF Lights and other Electrical tools. Using NodeMCU Microcontroller with EPS8266 WIFI Module controlled via WhatsApps Application. Suggestions to consider are 1) The need for backup electricity from batteries or generators. 2) The development of control and monitoring systems in IoT-based Smart Offices needs to be tested on other electronic devices in everyday life.
