RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM INFORMASI POINT OF SALE BERBASIS WEB DI BASE METRO MEBEL BANDUNG

Abstract

Point of Sale is a system used in various types of businesses to facilitate the transaction process quickly, safely, and systematically. The fundamental objective in this study is to design and implement Point of Sale information system in Base Metro Mebel Bandung. The research method uses descriptive qualitative methods to find original facts and information. Information collection techniques used with observation, documentation, and literature studies are in accordance with the topic of the problem, while the development method used is the prototype method. From the research that the author conducted, there are problems faced by Base Metro, namely that business processes are carried out traditionally, both in managing data and recording transactions carried out. This makes it difficult to make reports on purchase transactions, sales transactions and inventory of goods, so it is felt less effective and efficient. To overcome related problems, the author provides suggestions for business system development through the design of a Point of Sale application system using PHP programming languages and MySQL as databases. This can be used as a means of processing transaction data that is able to provide the expected solution.
