RANCANG BANGUN APLIKASI SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN DOSEN (SIM-DOS) BERBASIS WEB (STUDI KASUS POLITEKNIK PIKSI GANESHA)

Abstract

Managing lecturer data through the Lecturer Management Information System (SIMDOS) is necessary because this information can help performance in terms of monitoring activities carried out by all lecturers. The design of the Lecturer Management Information System (SIMDOS) at Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic was developed using several software, namely PHP version 7.4 with the PHP framework using Laravel 8 with the CSS Bootstrap framework version 5. The Lecturer Data Information System (SIMDOS) was developed to provide information about lecturers who oversees courses, lecturer research, lecturer service and lecturer educational history at Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic. The user scope of the Lecturer Information System (SIMDOS) consists of the External SIMDOS Web Page and the Internal SIMDOS Web page. The basic thing that differentiates these two pages is that there are different access rights for each user. The content that can be accessed for External Users is only able to view information on the Tridharma of Higher Education activities that have been carried out by lecturers per study program within the Piksi Ganesha Poitechnic environment, while for Internal Users it is divided into two, namely Academic and Lecturer. Academic users have access rights to view, edit and manage lecturer data at the Piksi Gabesha Polytechnic, while lecturer users can manage data starting from filling in lecturer biodata, teaching activities, research activities and community service activities
