Pemberdayaan Industri Pangan Rumah Tangga Melalui Pelatihan Higienitas dan Keamanan Pangan Pada UMKM Beji Kabupaten Pasuruan
Abstract
Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku UMKM pangan rumah tangga di Kecamatan Beji, Kabupaten Pasuruan, dalam menerapkan prinsip higienitas dan keamanan pangan. Melalui pelatihan, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan, peserta dibekali pengetahuan dasar sanitasi, penggunaan alat pelindung diri, serta teknik penanganan bahan pangan yang aman. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan hanya 23% peserta memahami materi dasar, namun setelah pelatihan meningkat menjadi 83% pada post-test. Perubahan perilaku produksi juga teridentifikasi, seperti penggunaan celemek, penutup kepala, serta pelabelan produk. Sebanyak 20 UMKM menyatakan kesiapan untuk mengurus sertifikasi PIRT. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam mendorong penerapan standar pangan yang aman dan layak. Model ini dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pemberdayaan UMKM berbasis pelatihan partisipatif di wilayah serupa.
